Someone I truly respect and admire said that “we do not need magic to change the world, we carry all of the power we need inside ourselves already: we have the power to imagine better.” [Yes, it’s J.K. Rowling]

I thought we could start by changing our world first. I know that private harmony will inevitably work its magic on the outside world.

I imagined what it would be like if I could…

… have a voice so loud that it breaks walls even when I’m quiet.

… have a heart so open that the love it shares beautifies any age and comforts any sorrow.

… hold on so tight that even when I’m miles away my presence warms somebody.

… try so hard that no significant loss is ever a result of my choices.

… fail so good that with each mistake I inspire even more.

… listen carefully so as to deeply understand.

… read so passionately that the limits of my universe become infinite.

The image was so alive, so real and so comforting. It was inescapable. I went for it.
